Hi, I’m Nikky, your wedding, elopement, and lifestyle photographer based in Southern California! I've dreamed of being a photographer since I was a child. At 10, I bought my first camera, a little red Nikon Coolpix (pictured below), with saved-up gift money. It quickly became an extension of me, capturing nearly everything and everyone on family vacations and trips. Wherever I went, my trusty red camera was always by my side.

Then, enter the COVID-19 pandemic - a time of uncertainty for many, but for me, it sparked a journey of discovery. With my workplace shut down and school fully online, I took that extra time I gained to hone in on my craft and knowledge. I started doing creative photoshoots with friends around our small town. This led me to slowly freelance on the side doing graduation and various lifestyle sessions. Once I felt the joy my clients got from seeing their galleries, that was it. Running a business, working full-time while attending graduate school wasn’t easy but I couldn’t imagine myself doing anything else. This isn't just a job for me; it's a calling, a lifelong love affair with freezing moments in time and turning them into cherished memories.

Nikky was recommended by an event planner friend. She was able to accommodate a last minute, surprise engagement photoshoot after our original photographer backed out. Nikky was very responsive and was able to make my plan come to life.
We really like that she gave a “sneak peek” set of photos within days. It’s great if you’re looking to post on social media right away. The rest of the photos came not too long afterwards. Quick turnaround!
We liked her so much that we booked her again for our micro-wedding. We were happy that she was available on a Sunday afternoon during graduation season. She books fast! She was great at directing group photos and incorporated fun poses on top of timeless, classic portraits. She does it all!
We were initially concerned about the lighting in our outdoor venue. But always trust the pro — she reassured us and the photos turned out amazing! She stayed longer than the initial timeframe just to accommodate our group and take advantage of golden hour.
Overall, we really enjoyed working with her and we are so glad that Nikky shot our engagement and elopement. Wouldn’t have it any other way.
